To advance to the championship game, Homan won 5-0 over Alina Paetz (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta; and won 9-5 over Jennifer Jones (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2017 Humpty's Champions Cup in Calgary, Alberta;
Homan finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Homan defeated Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) 7-4, then went on to lose 8-3 against Val Sweeting (Edmonton, AB). Homan responded with a 6-4 win over Kerri Einarson (Winnipeg, MB). Homan won 5-3 against Victoria Moiseeva (Kaliningrad, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Humpty's Champions Cup Championship title, Homan earned 73.699 world rankings points along with the $40,000CDN first prize cheque.
