Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN) finished 8-0 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Ogasawara defeated Touri Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) 8-2, then won 9-6 against Natsuki Saito (Aomori, JPN) and 8-2 against Sena Nakajima (Karuizawa, JPN). Ogasawara won 10-4 against Emi Sato (Kyoto, JPN), then won 8-1 against Japan's Mizuki Kitaguchi and 7-4 against Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN). Ogasawara won 9-4 against Rina Ida (Sapporo, JPN), then won 7-2 against Japan's Misaki Tanaka in their final qualifying round match.

Ogasawara earned 11.991 world rankings points for their Top 3 finish in the Japan Curling Championships, remaining in 17th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 10.517 after improving upon their best so far this season. Ogasawara ranks 19th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 143.300 points earned so far this season.
