Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) won 9-5 over Touri Koana (Yamanashi, JPN) in the Final of the Japan Curling Championships, held February 7 - 13, 2016 in Aomori, Japan.

Fujisawa finished 7-1 in the 9-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Fujisawa defeated Japan's Misaki Tanaka 11-4, then won 6-5 against Koana and 11-3 against Japan's Mizuki Kitaguchi. Fujisawa won 13-1 against Emi Sato (Kyoto, JPN), then won 6-5 against Natsuki Saito (Aomori, JPN) and 6-3 against Rina Ida (Sapporo, JPN). Fujisawa went on to lose 7-4 against Ayumi Ogasawara (Sapporo, JPN). Fujisawa responded with a 7-3 win over Sena Nakajima (Karuizawa, JPN) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Japan Curling Championships Championship title, Fujisawa earned 19.751 world rankings points. Fujisawa move up 4 spots after posting a net gain of 18.137 points improving upon their best results so far this season, ranking 32nd overall with 151.616 total points on the World Ranking Standings.
