Peterson finished 7-0 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Peterson defeated Nernberger 9-3, then won 9-1 against Jason Smith (St. Paul, MN) and 8-6 against Tyler George (Duluth, MN). Peterson won 9-3 against John Shuster (Duluth, MN), then won 7-5 against Korey Dropkin (Blaine, MN) and 9-1 against Doug Pottinger (St. Paul, MN). Peterson won 7-6 against Matt Hamilton (Madison, WI) in their final qualifying round match.
