Jamie Koe (Yellowknife, NT) finished 3-0 in the 4-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Koe defeated Wade Kingdon (Iqaluit, NU) 13-2, then won 6-5 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) and 7-5 against Bob Smallwood (Whitehorse, YK) in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Tim Hortons Brier Pre-Qualifier Championship title, Koe earned 3.675 world rankings points. For week 29 of the event schedule, Koe did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Koe ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
