Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB) qualified for the 2016 Hub International Crown of Curling playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 5-4 against Min Ji Kim (gyeongido, KOR). of the 2016 Hub International Crown of Curling in Kamloops, British Columbia, Canada;
 
Makichuk finished 4-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Makichuk defeated Maria Baksheeva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) 6-4, then won 4-2 against Korea's Un-Chi Gim and 6-5 against Kim. Makichuk went on to lose 6-5 against Sweden's Margaretha Sigfridsson. Makichuk responded with a 6-2 win over 's Suji Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
Makichuk earned 13.619 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Hub International Crown of Curling. For week 9 of the event schedule, Makichuk did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Makichuk ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
