John Morris (Vernon, BC) qualified for the 2016 Canad Inns Men's Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-5 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK). of the 2016 Canad Inns Men's Classic in Portage La Prairie, Manitoba, Canada;

Morris finished 5-1 in the 32-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Morris defeated Steen Sigurdson (Winnipeg, MB) 7-4, then won 6-5 against Jason Gunnlaugson (Winnipeg, MB) and 3-2 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB). Morris went on to lose 7-4 against Brad Jacobs (Sault Ste Marie, NONT). Morris responded with a 5-3 win over Craig Brown (Blaine, USA). Morris won 6-5 against Reid Carruthers (Winnipeg, MB) in their final qualifying round match.
