Korte responded with a 8-1 win over Braden Calvert (Winnipeg, MB). Korte won 7-1 against Matt Dunstone (Winnipeg, MB), then won 4-3 against Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) and 6-5 against Charley Thomas (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
