Alan O'Leary (Dartmouth, NS) finished 7-3 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, O'Leary defeated Ed Sattelberger (Iqaluit, NU) 6-5, then won 7-1 against Rod MacDonald (Charlottetown, PEI) and 8-4 against Jeff Thomas (St. John's, NL). O'Leary won 8-3 against Guy Charette (Buckingham, QC), then won 11-4 against Grant Odishaw (Rothesay, NB) and 8-5 against Bob Ursel (Kelowna, BC). O'Leary went on to lose 7-6 against Brad Heidt (Kerrobert, SK). O'Leary responded with a 6-4 win over Ed Lukowich (Calgary, AB). O'Leary went on to lose 10-1 against Randy Neufeld (La Salle, MB). O'Leary lost 7-4 to Bryan Cochrane (Russell, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

. For week of the event schedule, O'Leary did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. O'Leary ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
