In their opening game, Horgan lost 6-5 to British Columbia's Matthew McCrady, then responded with a 5-3 win over Riley Fenson (Bemidji, MN). Horgan won 9-4 against Japan's Taisei Kanai. Horgan went on to lose 7-1 against Mitchell Dales (Saskatoon, SK). Horgan responded with a 7-2 win over Liam Marin (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
