Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender won 5-2 over Northern Ontario's Doug Dean in the Final of the Canadian Wheelchair Curling Championship, held April 4 - 10, 2016 in Regina, Saskatchewan.
 
Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender finished 7-2 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender defeated Ontario's Collinda Joseph 4-2, then won 7-4 against Nova Scotia's Trendal Hubley-Bolivar and 10-2 against Newfoundland / Labrador's Cecilia Carroll. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender won 10-3 against British Columbia's Frank LaBounty. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender went on to lose 12-10 against Manitoba's Mark Wherrett. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender responded with a 10-3 win over Alberta's Jack Smart. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender went on to lose 6-5 against Northern Ontario's Doug Dean. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender responded with a 12-2 win over Quebec's Sebastien Boisvert. Saskatchewan's Darwin Bender won 9-2 against New Brunswick's Mike Fitzgerald in their final qualifying round match.
