To advance to the championship game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz won 7-1 over Lindsay Makichuk (Edmonton, AB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Avonair Cash Spiel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada; and won 4-2 over Karynn Flory (Edmonton , AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Avonair Cash Spiel in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada;
 
Alberta's Nadine Chyz finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz defeated Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB) 10-1, then went on to lose 7-5 against Alberta's Holly Scott. Alberta's Nadine Chyz responded with a 5-2 win over Makichuk in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Avonair Cash Spiel Championship title, Alberta's Nadine Chyz earned 21.209 world rankings points along with the $2,600CDN first prize cheque.
