Casey Scheidegger (Lethbridge, AB) won 8-2 over Alberta's Nadine Chyz in the Final of the Medicine Hat Charity Classic, held October 21 - 24, 2016 at the Medicine Hat Curling Club in Medicine Hat, Canada. To advance to the championship game, Scheidegger won 5-3 over Jessica Schultz (Saint Paul, MN) in the semifinals   of the 2016 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 8-3 over Breanne Meakin (Regina, SK) in the quarterfinals.  
 
Scheidegger finished 2-2 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scheidegger defeated Selena Sturmay (Airdrie, AB) 5-4, then went on to lose 7-6 against Meakin. Scheidegger lost 4-3 to Kelsey Dutton (Swift Current, SK) where Scheidegger responded with a 5-3 win over Maria Baksheeva (Saint-Petersburg, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Medicine Hat Charity Classic Championship title, Scheidegger earned 22.708 world rankings points along with the $3,000CDN first prize cheque. For week 10 of the event schedule, Scheidegger did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Scheidegger ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
