To advance to the championship game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz won 6-4 over Korea's Un-Chi Gim in the semifinals of the 2016 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada; and won 4-3 over Kelsey Dutton (Swift Current, SK) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Medicine Hat Charity Classic in Medicine Hat, Alberta, Canada;
 
Alberta's Nadine Chyz finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. .
