Adam Cseke (Kelowna, BC) lost 6-4 to Rui Liu (HARBIN, CHN) in the Final of the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, held September 16 - 18, 2016 in Surrey, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Cseke won 4-3 over Lyle Sieg (Seattle, USA) in the semifinals of the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia; and won 9-8 over Tyler Tardi (Langley, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;
 
Cseke finished 3-1 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cseke lost 7-6 to Dean Joanisse (Maple Ridge, BC), then responded with a 6-2 win over Will House (Vancouver, BC). Cseke won 6-4 against Sieg, then won 9-3 against Randie Shen (Taipei, TPE) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, Cseke take home 11.704 world rankings points along with the $1,500CDN prize, moving up 188 spots the World Ranking Standings into 167th place overall with 13.400 total points. Cseke ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 11.704 points earned so far this season.
