Shiella Cowan (Surrey, BC) qualified for the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-5 against Lindsay Hudyma (Vancouver/Victoria, BC). of the 2016 Cloverdale Cash Spiel in Surrey, British Columbia;

Cowan finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cowan defeated Kayte Gyles (Surrey, BC) 6-3, then went on to lose 5-2 against Hudyma. Cowan lost 7-3 to Diane Gushulak (Vancouver , BC) where Cowan responded with a 8-7 win over Cierra Fisher (Chilliwack, BC) in their final qualifying round match.

Cowan earned 3.418 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Cloverdale Cash Spiel, moving up 99 spots the World Ranking Standings into 175th place overall with 3.418 total points. Cowan ranks 48th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 3.418 points earned so far this season.
