In their opening game, Kapp defeated Ally Fraser (Perth, SCO) 5-3, then won 10-6 against Alan Macdougall (Kent, ENG) and 6-0 against Tomi Rantamaki (Hyvinkaa, FIN). Kapp won 9-3 against Borys Jasiecki (Sopot, POL). Kapp went on to lose 8-2 against Bruce Mouat (Stirlng, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kapp earned 9.165 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the Edinburgh International, moving up 12 spots the World Ranking Standings into 86th place overall with 52.035 total points. Kapp ranks 67th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 27.405 points earned so far this season.
