Dayna Deruelle (Brampton , ON) qualified for the 2017 CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 7-2 against Grant Hardie (Dumfries, SCO). of the 2017 CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship in Aberdeen, Scotland;
 
Deruelle finished 5-1 in the 28-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deruelle defeated Cameron Bryce (Stirling, SCO) 5-3, then went on to lose 5-3 against Magnus Ramsfjell (Jar, NOR). Deruelle responded with a 8-2 win over Alexander Baumann (Hamburg, GER). Deruelle won 7-5 against Tom Brewster (Aberdeen, SCO), then won 8-4 against Thomas Ulsrud (Oslo, NOR) and 6-1 against Ramsfjell in their final qualifying round match.
 
Deruelle earned 18.643 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship, remaining in 32nd place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 7.764 after improving upon their best so far this season. Deruelle ranks 28th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 139.729 points earned so far this season.
