Aku Kauste (Helsinki, FIN) qualified for the 2017 CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-4 against Mike McEwen (Winnipeg, MB).

Kauste went on to lose 7-3 against Gustav Eskilsson (Skellefte�, SWE). Kauste responded with a 5-4 win over Alexey Stukalskiy (Moscow, RUS) in their final qualifying round match.
 
Kauste earned 18.643 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the CCT Aberdeen International Curling Championship, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 49th place overall with 149.573 total points.
