To advance to the championship game, Hasselborg won 6-3 over Silvana Tirinzoni (Zurich, SUI) in the semifinals of the 2016 Stockholm Ladies Cup in Stockholm, Sweden; and won 5-4 over Kaitlyn Lawes (Winnipeg, MB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Stockholm Ladies Cup in Stockholm, Sweden;
Hasselborg finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hasselborg defeated Lisa Gisler (Bern, SUI) 9-2, then won 7-5 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) and 5-3 against Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI). Hasselborg won 7-4 against EunJung Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Stockholm Ladies Cup Championship title, Hasselborg earned 60.126 world rankings points along with the $15,312CDN first prize cheque, moving up 3 spots the World Ranking Standings into 10th place overall with 296.083 total points. Hasselborg ranks 1st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 154.850 points earned so far this season.
