Melanie Barbezat (Biel, SUI) is set to play Andrea Schoepp (Garmisch, GER) in the Final of the International ZO Womens Tournament, held November 11 - 13, 2016 in Wetzikon, Switzerland.
 
Barbezat finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Barbezat lost 5-3 to Chantal Bugnon (Dubendorf, SUI), then responded with a 6-4 win over Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL). Barbezat won 6-3 against Lene Nielsen (Hvidovre, DEN), then won 6-4 against Towe Lundman (Uppsala, SWE) and 7-2 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the International ZO Womens Tournament Championship title, Barbezat earned 28.838 world rankings points along with the $8,144CDN first prize cheque, moving up 30 spots the World Ranking Standings into 71st place overall with 58.360 total points. Barbezat ranks 52nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 41.880 points earned so far this season.
