Sherry Middaugh (Coldwater, ON) qualified for the 2017 CCT City of Perth Ladies International playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-2 against Julie Tippin (Woodstock, ON). of the 2017 CCT City of Perth Ladies International in Perth, Scotland;

Middaugh finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Middaugh defeated Marta Szeliga-Frynia (Lodz, POL) 4-2, then won 6-4 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) and 5-3 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA). Middaugh won 6-2 against Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). Middaugh went on to lose 6-3 against Ursi Hegner (Uzwil, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.

Middaugh earned 20.264 world rankings points for their Top 6 finish in the CCT City of Perth Ladies International, remaining in 20th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 11.306 after improving upon their best so far this season. Middaugh ranks 13th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 192.222 points earned so far this season.
