Soo-Hyuk Kim (Gangwon, KOR) won 11-6 over Chang-Min Kim (Uiseong, KOR) in the Final of the Korean National Championship, held April 23 - 29, 2016 in Uiseong, Korea.
 
Kim finished 6-0 in the 7-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim defeated Daeseok Kim (JeonBuk, KOR) 11-5, then won 6-4 against Seongbin Kim (Chooncheon, KOR) and 11-3 against JunYeong Hong (Bongmyeong, KOR). Kim won 9-0 against Sanghyeon Gwak (Uijeongbu, KOR), then won 7-3 against Minu Kim (Seoul, KOR) and 6-5 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Korean National Championship Championship title, Kim earned 10.973 world rankings points, remaining in 29th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.686 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kim ranks 22nd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 137.403 points earned so far this season.
