Kim finished 4-4 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Kim lost 5-4 to Kim, then responded with a 10-2 win over Youngju Ryu (Uiseong, KOR). Kim went on to lose 7-4 against Ji Suk Kim (JeonBuk, KOR). Kim responded with a 8-4 win over Jiyeong Lee (Songhyeon, KOR). Kim won 9-4 against Hyomin Woo (Bongmyeong, KOR). Kim went on to lose 8-5 against Ji-Sun Kim (Gyeonggido, KOR). Kim responded with a 7-6 win over Suji Kim (Chooncheon, KOR). Kim went on to lose 10-3 against Kim in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Korean National Championship Championship title, Kim earned 9.765 world rankings points, remaining in 13th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with a net gain of 5.916 after improving upon their best so far this season. Kim ranks 11th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 238.787 points earned so far this season.
