In their opening game, Fenson defeated Bryan Burgess (Kakabeka Falls, NONT) 8-5, then went on to lose 7-2 against Northern Ontario's Dylan Johnston. Fenson responded with a 5-4 win over Greg Balsdon (Kingston, ON). Fenson won 8-3 against David Falco (Denver, CO) in their final qualifying round match.
