Chyz finished 3-2 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Chyz defeated Minnesota's Lysa Johnson 10-1, then went on to lose 8-7 against Bear. Chyz responded with a 10-3 win over Jessica Schultz (Saint Paul, MN). Chyz won 7-3 against Jamie Sinclair (Blaine, USA). Chyz went on to lose 8-5 against Minnesota's Cassie Potter in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the Curl Mesabi Classic Championship title, Chyz earned 22.006 world rankings points along with the $4,666CDN first prize cheque, remaining in 26th place overall on the World Ranking Standings with 210.735 total points. Chyz ranks 17th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 143.841 points earned so far this season.
