To advance to the championship game, Jacobs won 4-3 over Steve Laycock (Saskatoon, SK) in the semifinals of the 2016 College Clean Restoration Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada; and won 5-4 over Niklas Edin (Karlstad, SWE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 College Clean Restoration Curling Classic in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan, Canada;
 
Jacobs finished 5-1 in the 31-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Jacobs defeated Carson Ackerman (Saskatoon, SK) 11-4, then won 9-7 against Brady Clark (Seattle, USA) and 7-2 against Edin. Jacobs went on to lose 6-5 against Brendan Bottcher (Edmonton, AB). Jacobs responded with a 4-3 win over Charley Thomas (Edmonton, AB). Jacobs won 6-5 against John Epping (Toronto, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
 
For winning the College Clean Restoration Curling Classic Championship title, Jacobs earned 65.692 world rankings points along with the $12,000CDN first prize cheque, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 5th place overall with 444.055 total points. Jacobs ranks 4th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 98.926 points earned so far this season.
