Alberta's Nadine Chyz finished 4-0 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alberta's Nadine Chyz defeated Kristen Streifel (Edmonton, AB) 7-2, then won 5-2 against Krysta Hilker (Edmonton, AB) and 7-3 against Michelle Hartwell (Edmonton, AB). Alberta's Nadine Chyz won 8-1 against Alberta's Holly Scott in their final qualifying round match.
