Alberta's Kalynn Virtue finished 3-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Alberta's Kalynn Virtue defeated Marla Sherrer (Lacombe , AB) 6-5, then won 6-5 against Alberta's Nicky Kaufman.
