Wayne Tallon (Fredericton, NB) qualified for the 2016 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-3 against Jean-Michel Menard (Gatineau, QC).
Tallon finished 3-2 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tallon defeated Brent MacDougall (Halfiax, NS) 6-3, then won 7-5 against Spencer Watts (Moncton, NB). Tallon went on to lose 7-1 against Mike Kennedy (Moncton, NB). Tallon responded with a 6-2 win over Jeremy Mallais (Moncton, NB). Tallon went on to lose 7-6 against Jamie Murphy (Halifax, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
Tallon earned 7.655 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 55 spots the World Ranking Standings into 202nd place overall with 16.889 total points. Tallon ranks 184th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 8.735 points earned so far this season.
