Christie Gamble (Halifax, NS) lost 5-4 to Sylvie Robichaud (Moncton, NB) in the Final of the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, held December 2 - 4, 2016 in Saint John, New Brunswick. To advance to the championship game, Gamble won 6-2 over Denise Nowlan (Moncton, NB) in the semifinals of the 2016 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick; and won 4-3 over Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick;
 
Gamble finished 2-2 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Gamble lost 8-5 to Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB), droppimg another game, 6-4 to Robichaud where Gamble responded with a 7-2 win over Heidi Hanlon (Saint John, NB). Gamble won 6-0 against Rebecca Atkinson (Moncton, NB) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, Gamble take home 8.580 world rankings points along with the $1,100CDN prize, moving up 19 spots the World Ranking Standings into 115th place overall with 27.215 total points. Gamble ranks 104th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.892 points earned so far this season.
