Veronica Smith (Charlottetown, PEI) qualified for the 2016 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 4-3 against Christie Gamble (Halifax, NS). of the 2016 WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic in Saint John, New Brunswick;

Smith finished 3-1 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Smith defeated Melissa Adams (Fredericton, NB) 5-3, then went on to lose 6-5 against Heidi Hanlon (Saint John, NB). Smith responded with a 5-1 win over Rebecca Atkinson (Moncton, NB). Smith won 10-8 against Sarah Mallais (Saint John, NB) in their final qualifying round match.

Smith earned 2.340 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the WFG Jim Sullivan Curling Classic, moving up 13 spots the World Ranking Standings into 154th place overall with 13.149 total points.
