Ryan LeDrew (Sarnia, ON) qualified for the 2016 Port Elgin Superspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 9-2 against Dayna Deruelle (Brampton , ON).

LeDrew finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, LeDrew defeated Craig Milburn (Port Elgin, ON) 6-5, then went on to lose 7-1 against Peter Mellor (Kitchener-Waterloo, ON). LeDrew responded with a 5-4 win over Ian Dickie (Newmarket, ON). LeDrew won 7-4 against Codey Maus (Toronto, ON), then won 6-2 against Scott Ferguson (London, ON) in their final qualifying round match.
