Sigfridsson finished 3-1 in the 15-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Sigfridsson defeated Satsuki Fujisawa (Kitami, JPN) 7-2, then won 5-2 against Korea's Ji Suk Kim and 9-1 against Chiaki Matsumura (Karuizawa, JPN). Sigfridsson went on to lose 9-3 against Eve Muirhead (Perth, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Karuizawa International, Sigfridsson take home 32.821 world rankings points along with the $6,786CDN prize, moving up 4 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 293.986 total points.
