To advance to the championship game, Edin won 6-2 over Steffen Walstad (Oslo, NOR) in the semifinals of the 2016 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland; and won 6-3 over David Sik (Prague, CZE) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Curling Masters Champery in Champery, Switzerland;
 
Edin finished 4-1 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Edin defeated Jaap van Dorp (Zoetermeer, NED) 7-3, then won 8-3 against Florian Meister (Zurich, SUI) and 7-2 against Felix Attinger (Dubendorf, SUI). Edin won 8-2 against Alexander Baumann (Hamburg, GER). Edin went on to lose 5-4 against Antonio De Mollinedo (San Sebastian, ESP) in their final qualifying round match.
