Dave Stanley (Russell, ON) qualified for the 2016 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-6 against Jason LaMontagne (Ottawa, ON). of the 2016 NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel in Ottawa, Ontario;

Stanley finished 3-1 in the 18-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Stanley defeated Rhys Allen (Manotick, ON) 7-2, then won 7-5 against Ryan McCrady (Ottawa, ON) and 7-3 against Stephen Watson (Ottawa, ON). Stanley went on to lose 2-1 against Catherine Derick (Buckingham, QC) in their final qualifying round match.

Stanley earned 4.106 world rankings points for their Top 5 finish in the NAVY Fall Classic Open Bonspiel, moving up 409 spots the World Ranking Standings into 300th place overall with 4.106 total points. Stanley ranks 101st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 4.106 points earned so far this season.
