Rantamaki responded with a 8-4 win over Finland's Jani Sullanmaa. Rantamaki went on to lose 8-2 against Kauste. Rantamaki responded with a 7-6 win over Uusipaavalniemi. Rantamaki won 8-4 against Finland's Jani Sullanmaa. Rantamaki went on to lose 8-7 against Kauste in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Finnish Men's Championship, Rantamaki take home 10.973 world rankings points, moving up 18 spots the World Ranking Standings into 97th place overall with 50.179 total points. Rantamaki ranks 91st overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 39.694 points earned so far this season.
