MacDonald went on to lose 11-5 against Karina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO). MacDonald lost 7-3 to Hazel Smith (Lanarkshire, SCO) where MacDonald responded with a 8-7 win over Gina Aitken (Edinburgh, SCO) in their final qualifying round match.
 
MacDonald earned 1.582 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 28 of the event schedule, MacDonald did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. MacDonald ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
