McConnery finished 4-1 in the 13-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, McConnery defeated Kristen MacDiarmid (Dartmouth, NS) 5-4, then won 11-2 against Calissa Daly (Halifax, NS) and 5-2 against Christie Gamble (Halifax, NS). McConnery won 9-3 against Robyn MacPhee (Charlottetown, PEI). McConnery went on to lose 7-1 against Kristin Clarke (Chester, NS) in their final qualifying round match.
For winning the Lakeshore Curling Club Cashspiel Championship title, McConnery earned 18.457 world rankings points along with the $1,450CDN first prize cheque, moving up 49 spots the World Ranking Standings into 80th place overall with 29.602 total points. McConnery ranks 35th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 18.457 points earned so far this season.
