Kody Hartung (Saskatoon , SK) qualified for the 2016 Highland Cash Spiel playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 8-1 against Ryan Deis (Fox Valley, SK). of the 2016 Highland Cash Spiel in Regina, Saskatchewan;

Hartung finished 2-1 in the 20-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Hartung defeated Ben Gamble (Moose Jaw, SK) 6-5, then went on to lose 6-5 against William Coutts (Regina, SK). Hartung responded with a 7-2 win over Daniel Selke (Saskatoon, SK) in their final qualifying round match.
