To advance to the championship game, Webb won 8-4 over Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) in the semifinals of the 2016 Fort St. John Cash Spiel in Fort St. John, British Columbia; and won 4-3 over Doug Kimmie (Taylor, BC) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Fort St. John Cash Spiel in Fort St. John, British Columbia;
 
Webb are currently 2-0 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Webb defeated Kimmie 7-6, then won 8-5 against Graham Powell (Grande Prarie, AB). In their opening game, Webb plays Brad Schroeder (Camrose, AB) on Saturday at 12:30am and Jason Ginter (Edmonton, AB) at 12pm.
 
For winning the Fort St. John Cash Spiel Championship title, Webb earned 8.818 world rankings points along with the $2,100CDN first prize cheque, moving up 69 spots the World Ranking Standings into 180th place overall with 16.927 total points.
