Thomas Scoffin (Edmonton, AB) won 6-4 over Warren Cross (Edmonton, AB) in the Final of the Dawson Creek Cash Spiel, held November 25 - 27, 2016 in Dawson Creek, British Columbia. To advance to the championship game, Scoffin won 5-4 over Jeff Ginter (Dawson Creek, BC) in the semifinals of the 2016 Dawson Creek Cash Spiel in Dawson Creek, British Columbia; and won 5-1 over Graham Powell (Grande Prarie, AB) in the quarterfinals. of the 2016 Dawson Creek Cash Spiel in Dawson Creek, British Columbia;

Scoffin finished 3-1 in the 12-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Scoffin defeated Colin Griffith (Grande Prairie, AB) 8-4, then won 7-5 against Kurt Balderston (Grande Prairie, AB) and 7-2 against Ginter. Scoffin went on to lose 6-3 against Cross in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the Dawson Creek Cash Spiel Championship title, Scoffin earned 12.627 world rankings points along with the $2,500CDN first prize cheque, moving up 25 spots the World Ranking Standings into 103rd place overall with 46.669 total points. Scoffin ranks 79th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 30.288 points earned so far this season.
