To advance to the championship game, Cross won 7-3 over Jeff Ginter (Dawson Creek, BC) in the semifinals of the 2017 Peace Tour Championship in Sexsmith, Alberta;
 
Cross finished 2-0 in the 8-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Cross defeated Doug Kimmie (Taylor, BC) 7-1, then won 7-2 against Stefan Pavlis (Dawson Creek, BC) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Peace Tour Championship, Cross take home 5.418 world rankings points along with the $2,000CDN prize, moving up 2 spots the World Ranking Standings into 90th place overall with 63.311 total points. Cross ranks 83rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 37.082 points earned so far this season.
