Shuster finished 3-0 in the 17-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Shuster defeated Kyle Foster (Arborg , MB) 7-5, then won 6-0 against Rojeski and 8-2 against Hunter Clawson (Laurel, MD) in their final qualifying round match.
 
With their runner-up finish at the Coors Light Cash Spiel, Shuster take home 18.373 world rankings points along with the $2,433CDN prize, moving up 1 spots the World Ranking Standings into 17th place overall with 307.280 total points.
