In their opening game, McArdle lost 10-8 to Will House (New Westminster, BC), then responded with a 6-4 win over Adam Cseke (Kelowna, BC). McArdle won 9-5 against Ron Leech (Maple Ridge, BC), then won 8-5 against House and 8-3 against House in their final qualifying round match.

For winning the BC Men's - Open Event Championship title, McArdle earned 5.250 world rankings points, moving up 6 spots the World Ranking Standings into 151st place overall with 33.824 total points. McArdle ranks 103rd overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with 28.656 points earned so far this season.
