Deruelle finished 3-0 in the 24-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Deruelle defeated Jay Gazeley (Kingston, ON) 10-8, then won 5-3 against Doug Brewer (Cornwall, ON) and 7-2 against Phillip Tomsett (Kingston, ON) in their final qualifying round match.

With their runner-up finish at the Secker Ross & Perry Eastern Ontario Championship, Deruelle take home 12.570 world rankings points along with the $1,420CDN prize.
