Cody Tanaka (New Westminster, BC) finished 1-3 in the 10-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Tanaka lost 9-4 to Jeff Guignard (Vancouver, BC), droppimg another game, 8-2 to Mike Moss (Richmond, BC) where Tanaka responded with a 8-7 win over Daniel Wenzek (New Westminster, BC). Tanaka went on to lose 9-4 against Guignard in their final qualifying round match.

Tanaka earned 0.341 world rankings points for their preliminary round wins. For week 17 of the event schedule, Tanaka did not improve upon their best events, remaining at th place on the World Ranking Standings with total points. Tanaka ranks th overall on the Year-to-Date rankings with points earned so far this season.
