Wayne Leippi (Regina, SK) qualified for the 2016 Whitney Field Jr. Men's Curling Classic playoffs, dropping their quarterfinals match 6-1 against Brayden Stewart (Saskatoon, SK).

Leippi finished 2-1 in the 0-team qualifying round. . In their opening game, Leippi defeated Mackenzie Olson (Lloydminster, AB) 10-5, then won 6-4 against Rylan Kleiter (Saskatoon, SK). Leippi went on to lose 4-1 against Evan van Amsterdam (Edmonton, AB) in their final qualifying round match.
