Sauder/Bottcher responded with a 7-6 win over Dace Regza/Ansis Regza (Riga, LAT). Sauder/Bottcher went on to lose 8-7 against Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres/Gyeorgy Nagy. Sauder/Bottcher responded with a 6-4 win over Flurine Kobler/Yves Hess (Zurich, SUI) in their final qualifying round match.
