Watson/Meikle went on to lose 9-6 against Hungary's Ildiko Szekeres/Gyeorgy Nagy. Watson/Meikle lost 6-2 to Daniela Matulova/Ladislav Derzsi (Bratislava, SVK) in their final qualifying round match.
